Siah B. Hagin
Poet - Author - Counselor
Siah Bonita Hagin, MSEd. MHC, is a School Counselor with the New York City Department of Education. Her love of working in the mental health field grew from her love of psychology. In 2011, with a passion for pouring into the lives of young girls, she established Real Girls Real Feelings, an empowerment curriculum-based group for girls ages nine and ten. As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse she began writing poetry on her journey to healing. Ms. Hagin is a Christian and an active member of The Greater Allen A.M.E.Cathedral located in Jamaica, New York, where she co-chairs The Children's Grief Share Ministry and Haven for Healing, a support group for survivors. She currently resides in Long Island, New York.
