Bio
Siah Bonita Hagin, MSEd. LMHC is a School Counselor with the New York City Department of Education and a Licensed Mental Hearlth Counselor. Her love of working in the mental health field grew from her love of psychology. Ms. Hagin earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1995 from York College. She earned two Master’s degrees from Long Island University, Masters of Science in Education in Guidance and Counseling as well as a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling.

Ms. Hagin has a passion of working with children and families and has worked for NYC Department of Education for the past 22 years. In 2011, with a passion for pouring into the lives of girls, she established Real Girls Real Feelings, an empowerment curriculum guided girls group for girls ages 9 and 10 years of age .

As a survivor of child hood sexual abuse she shares her stories of struggle, faith and healing in her book The Journey Continues (published in 2018) and The Silent Cries of a Black Girl ( published in 2022).
